"It sounds ridiculous when I try to explain to people who ask me about Trust fund club; " Why do these billionaires and HNW even need any advice?". My answer is the age-old-story 'poor-little-rich-boy' Most of my network is UAE based; people who I met and formed relationships with over the years of owning my club; each week another person would want to come and cry on my shoulder telling me about their latest business 'rip-off' or girl who had only wanted them for rolex shopping trips. For HNW and Royals the Dubai scene is brutal; you do have the same issues everywhere in the world but the UAE is of epidemic proportions. There are so many Royals in the Middle East ;all of the Gulf 'sheikhs' and the Saudi 'princes' have been born into a privileged lifestyle they simply don't know any better. They don't appreciate the FACT that everyone around them are using them. They are surrounded by an entourage of Yes-men (and women) said people are usually from poor countries (Lebanon, Syria, Morocco, Algeria, Africa etc.) and are basically bred to entertain and serve. They will say and do anything to keep the Royal happy, they will make him feel like a king and the coolest person in the world. They will drink with him and convince him while he's in his drink-induced-coma that things are a good idea; "Lets go to the club" - They are proficient in manipulation and scheming; any and ALL opportunity to thieve money undercover through 'kickbacks' and 'commissions' . I am very educated in this policy the amount of 'advisors' and 'right hand men' of royals who came to meet me at my club in order to broker deals to bring their sheikh or prince to my venue was phenomenal! and I was only too happy to oblige. I had a club to run;the royal arrives the 'advisor/friend' gets them drunk and convinces them they look so cool opening bottles of champagne "look all the girls are coming over". Then at the end of the night or/ the next morning the advisor/friend comes to collect their 10% of the bill (their commission) - No doubt said advisor/friend then pays all of the 'girls' their respective commission. In my club did I encourage champagne shows and boost clients ego? ABSOLUTELY; did I ever think it was 'cool' ?ABSOLUTELY NOT; I found it tragic, but there is no sentiment in business>> Continue >>
